1) Always plan ahead and find out how much ski passes, school and ski hire is before you go. Sometimes it might be worth going to a more expensive destination if the ski pass and ski hire is cheaper.

2) If you are a beginner at skiing don't waste money hiring expensive premium skis and boots, even if you are intermediate some still consider hiring the standard skis and boots because most ski hire shops have reasonable quality equipment now a days.
